Temple of Apollo



The Temple of Apollo is the oldest Doric temple in Sicily, dating back to the early 6th century BC. Over the centuries, the building has had various functions: it was transformed into a Christian church, an Arab mosque, and even barracks during the Norman era. Neapolis Archaeological Park



The Neapolis Archaeological Park is a historical site that holds the remains of ancient Greek and Roman civilizations. The park includes:
Greek Theater: One of the largest extant Greek theaters, built in the 5th century B.C. and expanded in the Hellenistic period.

Ear of Dionysius: An artificial cave about 23 meters high and 65 meters long.

Roman Amphitheater: Built in the 3rd-4th centuries AD, it is an imposing structure used for gladiator fights, public games and shows.

Altar of Hieron II: A monumental structure dating from the 3rd century BC, used for collective sacrifices in honor of Zeus.

Maniace Castle



Maniace Castle is a majestic fortress built in the 13th century at the behest of Emperor Frederick II of Swabia. It is named after the Byzantine general George Maniace, who defended Syracuse from the Arabs in the 11th century. This castle is a perfect example of medieval military architecture, with imposing defensive walls, ramparts, and a quadrangular plan.

Plemmirio Nature Reserve and Marine Protected Area



Just 5 minutes from the property is the renowned Plemmirio Marine Protected Area, which stretches 14.35 km along the eastern coast of the Maddalena Peninsula. This area of outstanding natural beauty is characterized by rich flora and fauna, and is also an important historical record. In the seabed, you can admire amphora necks and archaeological finds from the Greek, Roman and Carthaginian eras, as well as remnants of World War II. Sightings of marine species include tuna, snappers, dolphins, sharks and even sperm whales. The area is also known for its unique formations such as worm trottoirs, biostructures similar to small Mediterranean reefs.
